It wasn’t too long ago that Draper James founder Reese Witherspoon professed her love for HGTV’s Fixer Upper, also sharing that she would love to have her own unique design show. Fast-forward one year later and the Legally Blonde star is making her mark in the home interior design world with Netflix’s new Home Edit series.
It goes without saying that Reese has an impressive property portfolio, but the actress-slash-producer retreats to her Pacific Palisades, California home when she’s in need of a peaceful escape. From the front steps of her home, Reese showcases her Southern charm with a "Hey y'all" mat and of course, a welcoming pup. Behind her, a glossy navy door is the first sign that the Southern belle’s taste in interior decor is traditional, yet playful.
Inside, the entryway is a wash of neutrals and a calming blue-gray rug, setting a serene feel for visitors. This palette also allows the statement windows planking her front door to stand out and get the attention they deserve.
The light blue palette continues into the living room with the rug, throw pillows, and window treatments. Gold and brass accents prove that the 43-year-old is a fan of the mixed metals trend.
But what we love most about her home is that she doesn't take it too seriously. She clearly prioritized comfort above all when picking out pieces, like this deep sofa that's perfect for both a nap and playtime.
Her kitchen might be our favorite room of all. That white subway tile backsplash. That soft gray-blue cabinet color. Those adorable flour and sugar jars. Every detail is better than the last.
But it's the bedroom that really shows off Reese's personality—starting with the monogrammed pillows and ending with the headboard that gives us serious Draper James vibes.
Since she lives in California, it's only natural that the A-list celebrity has a backyard with lush green grass and, you guessed it, a stunning swimming pool. Since we already know Reese is the ultimate host, we're hoping we make the cut for her 4th of July party next year.
