The incredible work done by Fixer Upper’s power couple, Chip and Joanna Gaines, continues to impact people’s lives, including the family who bought The Brick House. Originally featured in Season 3, Episode 2 of the HGTV show, the 2,079-square-foot Waco home had an asking price of only $219,900 and was quickly taken off the market not even a month after being listed.

The low price definitely piqued buyers’ interest, especially given that the Waco area’s median sale price is $187,500, falling right into a sweet spot, according to Realtor.com. Plus, who could possibly pass up on this bargain price when the property’s been renovated by Chip and Jo themselves?!

The Magnolia empire owners transformed the 3-bedroom, 2-bath home for the Craft family in 2015, when it was bought for $114,000. Since the couple had a budget of $160,000, the dream team was left with a solid chunk to invest into the property.

Built in 1927, Chip and Jo's goal was to keep the historic elements of the house intact while carefully updating it with their signature flair—shiplap, anyone? Surprisingly enough, original shiplap was uncovered in the master bedroom (walls and ceiling), and of course, Jo let it be.

“I’m always an advocate for shiplap, because it is simple to expose behind the walls in older homes, it adds effortless character, and elongates the space – giving the illusion it’s larger,” she wrote on her Magnolia blog.

But the most enticing part of the property might just be the one thing the design duo didn't touch—a detached tiny building located in the backyard. Now, the new homeowners have a home-reno project of their own—or not—to turn it into a tiny home, she shed, or a studio, and maybe even rent it out on Airbnb. The possibilities are endless!
