If a cathedral and a cottage had a baby, this would be it's love child. From the outside, this Newburgh, Indiana house is grand and dramatic, and the epitome of what a striking church should look like. But inside the 6,312-square-foot structure, you'll find an all-white-and-cream design that's both simple, yet statement-making.
As soon as you walk into the entryway you'll notice the high ceilings, but the adorable details bring the larger-than-life bones back down to Earth — like floral cushions on the bench, tufted chair backs, and even a shag rug. Meanwhile, the bedrooms feel like they're straight out of a fairytale with ornate bed frames, arched windows, and pure white bedding. And the master bedroom even has two swings that overlook the Ohio River (swoon!).
The kitchen is even more surprisingly quaint and feels like it's purebred cottage. We love the antique stove and the white dishwasher with a detailed front that blends into the cabinets. However, it's really the little details that add to the cottage chic decor: The grooves carved into the cabinets, the wooden floors, and the open shelving that reveals hanging teacups. But perhaps most surprising of all is the cream and brown rug smack dab in the center of the cooking space — although, truth be told, white doesn't pair very well with tomato stains.
