You Could Watch Christmas Movies At Kensington Palace This Year

If you're already planning the ultimate festive day out, Luna Cinema has announced the dates of their winter film screenings and this year, Christmas movie fans can snuggle up in front of The Holiday inside a famous royal venue.

From December 17-23, the pop-up cinema brand will be showing a range of Christmas classics inside the Pavilion at Kensington Palace. This stunning outbuilding, located in the grounds of the Palace, is usually used for afternoon teas and is surrounded by royal history. (Let's not forget—the Cambridges and Sussexes live next door).

There will be two screenings each evening, with one at 5pm and another at 8:30pm, but aside from the magical setting, the impressive choice of movies is likely to be a big draw.

The line-up includes Home Alone, Love Actually, The Greatest Showman, Miracle on 34th Street, Elf and The Holiday, and because no movie night would be complete without snacks, the cinema will serve mulled wine, and . While the gently falling snowflakes will set the wintry scene for the little ones, grownups might also appreciate the full bar and the rows of comfy beanbags.

If you can't make it to Kensington Palace, there are other heated indoor venues to choose from. Luna Cinema's winter pop-up will also be coming to the former Art Deco cinema, now reimagined as EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) in East London and St. George's Hall in Liverpool.

Ticket prices range from £8 to £18.50 (approx. $10.52 to $24.33) and don't panic if they sell out quickly—some additional dates are expected to be announced. See the full list of timings for the Kensington Palace viewings below:
