Chip Gaines Just Cut Off All His Hair — for a Great Cause

Goodbye, man bun.

Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines has seen a fair number of snarky comments about his hair these days, especially when it's been long enough to fit in a man bun. But that won't be a problem now, because the HGTV star shaved every last bit off, and he did it for a great cause.

On November 2, Chip posted a promise that he would finally cut his hair—but only if enough fans donated to St. Jude's children's hospital. "It's come to my attention that most of you hate my current hairstyle. But how MUCH do you hate it? Now's the time to put your money where your mouth is," he wrote. "The more money we raise over the next four days, the shorter my hair goes. That's a promise."

It’s come to my attention that most of you hate my current hairstyle. But how MUCH do you hate it? Now’s the time to put your money where your mouth is. ⠀ ⠀ So here's the deal: Next week, Jo and I are visiting the beautiful kids at Target House with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis. No family ever pays at @StJude for treatment, travel or food—so basically, we want to bring them a giant check from YOU to help cover costs—lets come together to do something big to bless these kiddos. ⠀ ⠀ Donate to @StJude through the link in my profile, and the more money we raise over the next FOUR days, the shorter my hair goes. That's a promise. And, who knows, maybe if you really exceed my expectations...I'll buzz it all off. #OperationHaircut

Chip and Jo visited the Target House in Memphis with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which provides no-cost long-term housing for pediatric patients and their families. And it looks like fans followed through. Joanna posted a photo of Chip, head completely shaved, surrounded by patients at St. Jude's.
