After an 11-year run in the City of Angels, David and Victoria Beckham are bidding farewell to their epic Beverly Hills home. The family locked in the 13,000-square-foot estate when the pro athlete signed his $250 million contract with L.A. Galaxy soccer team back in 2007, and a little over a decade later, they're turning a sweet profit on the space.
The power couple originally purchased the home for $22 million, where they lived with their four kids, Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and Harper, 7. Inflation aside, there must have been some major renovations to the estate over the years, because the couple sold it for $33 million, according to the Los Angeles Times. In fact, the property was snatched up so quickly, it never even made it on the market. Here's a closer look.
The house, shaped in an H, features six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
It also has an elevator, a library and a media/music room. That last one is all too fitting, considering that before Victoria became a fashion icon, she was part of the pop group that took the world by storm, the Spice Girls.
It has sprawling property with palm trees, a tennis court and a pool.
Just imagine the pool parties you could host with a backyard that expansive. Even Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen would be jealous.
There's so much space for entertaining.
It's likely that selling their LA mansion hasn't impacted the Beckhams' lifestyle too drastically, given the family spends the majority of their time between London and Cotswolds. But the family is now looking for property in Miami. On September 5, ESPN reported that David’s seven-year project of bringing a major league soccer team to the Sunshine State is finally happening. The team kicks off its very first season in 2020.
