The superstar/supermodel pairing of NFL quarterback Tom Brady and fashion icon Gisele Bündchen is just about as super as it gets. It only makes sense that this mega-power-couple would live in a mega-perfect home together, and that's just what their Brookline, Massachusetts, estate was—until now. While the castle-like estate had first hit the market for a whopping $39.5 million, its asking price recently just dropped by $5.6 million—making its current price $33.9 million.
The five-bedroom, seven-bath home just outside Boston—Brady plays for the New England Patriots, after all—sits on more than five acres of land, so it affords all the privacy you'd expect for a celebrity hideaway. According to the Sotheby's listing, the main house boasts luxe amenities like a chef's kitchen, a rec room, a kids' playroom, a gym and a spa, and a wine room (though I have a hard time believing either Tom or Gisele sully their ridiculously toned bodies with the empty calories of alcohol!).
You can get a sneak peek of the space from Gisele's Instagram posts:
Outside is a circular driveway that holds up to 20 vehicles—because you never know when you'll have to have the whole team over for a quick meeting, right? And beyond the organic herb/vegetable garden sits a 2,400-square-foot detached barn-inspired guest house, complete with yoga studio and "walls that open up for natural air circulation, providing a Zen-like experience." I would need a little Zen, too, if my estimated mortgage was $146,354 a month!
The home has become nearly as famous as its owners over the years, appearing in Gisele's "73 Questions" video for Vogue and in Tom's documentary series for Facebook Watch, "Tom vs. Time."
But the Brookline home's listing is of interest to a large population beyond just celeb-news followers and luxury-home lovers, though: It raises some serious questions for football fans. Namely, if Tom is leaving Boston, is he leaving the Patriots as well? That would be the end of quite an era, given that he has led the team to a record six Super Bowl wins. As ESPN notes, the couple's next-closest property is in Armenia, New York, which is hours away from the Patriots' stadium in Foxborough. Could Brady be thinking retirement after this season? Gisele may be the only one who knows for sure—and she's pretty good at keeping secrets.
