Candace Cameron Bure's Must-Haves For Working Out At Home

No gym, no problem.

Candace Cameron Bure's not one to skip a workout just because she's nowhere near a gym. The Fuller House star's been known to sneak in a few reps anywhere, be it her trailer, a hotel room, or even the . And, despite being ridiculously toned — so much so that — she doesn't own a state of the art gym at home. In fact, she hardly owns any workout gear.

"I have a lot less than Kira [Stokes, my trainer,] would like," she laughs.

Candace may not have spent thousands on all the latest machines, and as a result, she's proving you don't need to clutter up your home (or blow your budget) to get fit. After a quick workout with Kira to promote — her go-to post-workout snack, since it's loaded with protein — the two sat down to talk about what Candace swears by to stay in shape. Thankfully, it could all fit in a standard storage cube.

She Switches Between Three Sets Of Hand Weights.

Candace is able to tackle all of her toning moves with three sets of dumbbells: 3-pound ones, 5-pound ones and 8-pounders. Given her filming schedule, "everything related to Candace and her workouts has to be portable," Kira explains. Candace will use them to do bicep curls and rows, and hold them while doing squats, lunges, and side twists to make her muscles work just a little bit harder.

She's A Big Fan Of Resistance Bands.

One of the workout tools that takes up the least amount of space — but really helps you torch calories — is resistance bands. They may look like oversized rubber bands, but Candace takes them with her everywhere.

If she's at the gym, she'll put one around her thighs, holding onto a ballet barre while sinking into a plié position (heels raised!) and slowly move bring her knees together, then back apart. "At home, you could just use the back of a chair," Candace says.

She Never Goes Anywhere Without Her Jump Rope.

"My jump rope is absolutely essential," Candace says. "It's so good for sneaking in cardio." If you clear out your coffee table — and have high enough ceilings — you could sneak in a couple quick minutes of cardio right in your living room while watching TV.

She Keeps A TRX Machine In Her Backyard.

Some people hang a swing off a tree. Not Candace. She prefers a TRX machine. "Kira introduced me to TRX, and I love how portable and convenient it is," she says of the device, which is essentially a set of straps that use suspension to help you build muscle and burn fat. "I love going outside and working out, so I just keep it in my backyard, hanging off a tree."

Even Her Couch Can Double As Gym Equipment.

Candace works out three to four times a week, she says, and she avoids getting bored by mi up her exercises. One day, she'll hit up a pilates class with friends; the next, she's jogging three or four miles.

When she's working out at home, she'll often FaceTime Kira and they'll work out together, but she also sneaks in exercises here and there when she's hanging out in her living room. "I try to get people to look at their environment differently," Kira says. "Every time you sit down, try squatting. Use a chair to lift your heels and pulse them up and down. Use the corner of a couch to do incline pushups."

Now you officially have zero excuses not to sneak in a few squats and lunges while binge-watching House Hunters.
