We're still waiting for the day that Chip and Joanna Gaines come in and completely gut and renovate our kitchens, but cooking in a farmhouse-style, Magnolia-designed kitchen might not be entirely out of the realm of possibility: Several Fixer Upper homes have been popping up on Airbnb and HomeAway as vacation homes, as you may have heard in recent news.
In response, Chip and Joanna recently released a statement that they plan to screen applicants more thoroughly to ensure future seasons feature families looking for long-term homes, rather than people who might put their now-famous abodes on home rental sites. Given this controversy, these might be the the last Fixer Upper homes to ever hit the rental market. So pack your bags and book your trip to Waco while you still have the opportunity!
It might be a little bit out of her design comfort zone, but Joanna herself said this mid-century modern house, renting for $295/night, was her favorite fixer upper of all time.
