Vacation is all about trading your everyday routine for a bit more luxury (nothing says luxe like returning to your room to find your bed freshly made). And no one does luxury quite like the royal family. Which is why we were excited to learn that two cottages on in Norfolk, England are now available to rent for the night.
Yep, even commoners like you and me can engage in a little royal activity while on holiday. Stroll the gardens for a chance to spot your (temporary) neighbors Prince Will and Duchess Kate who live in the nearby . Or rub elbows with the same staff that also serves Queen Elizabeth her tea.
There a two cottages on the property to choose from. If you want a cozy recently-renovated barn, go with . It features a wood-burning stove for chilly evenings and an enclosed garden with a private patio and lawn for when the weather is warmer. Six people can stay in this three-bedroom cottage for 600 pounds per night (about $935).
For a truly authentic experience, stay at the , which once housed the ground's head gardener and overlooks the ornamental square garden on the estate. The four-bedroom home sleeps eight and is slightly pricier at 625 pounds per night (about $974).
If you plan on booking a trip, you'll have to stay for a full seven days since the cottages are only available by the week (twist our arm). Which means you'll have just enough time to fully immerse yourself into your fantasy world. And just maybe (pretty please?) the queen will pop down to say hello. After all, we're sure she's a gracious hostess.
