It's been 21 years since A Little Princess came out, and we haven't seen much of the actress who played her, Liesel Pritzker Simmons since.
So, what's she been up to? Well, did some digging and discovered that she's pretty much a real-life princess — well, an heiress — with a huge fortune.
Turns out, she enrolled at Columbia University after graduating from high school, and hoped that she would continue her acting career afterwards. That all changed, however, when she and her older brother, Matthew, sued the Pritzker family and her father, Robert, for $500 million.
Robert had used his children's trusts to invest in the family holding company, and when some cousins later split the fortune, they were left out.
But Pritzker Simmons assured that suing was never about the money. She said in 2003: "This is not about cash. It's not like I think if we win, it'll be: 'Buy the Bentley! Bling bling!' I filed because I wanted to know what happened. It's going to be tricky, and it will take a long time. But I just need to know what happened."
Pritzker Simmons behaved like a true Sara with the payout: She gave $50 million to her mother to start an education foundation and lived in Dharamshala, India for a while. There, she volunteered at a children's nursery school and later used the healing power of yoga to help heroin addicts.
When she returned to New York, she decided not to go back to acting and instead travels the world with her husband, Ian Simmons, while funding economic projects.
Basically, the Little Princess and her Papa would be very proud of her.
