It may be springtime and Christmas is probably the last thing on your mind right now, but just imagine it for a moment: the sound of the crackling fire, the sight of snow flurries waltzing behind the window, the taste of warm eggnog and the coziness of your family sitting beside you at the twinkling tree.

For most of us, the holiday isn't complete without a re-watching of what is possibly the best Christmas movie of all time: A Christmas Story. During each annual viewing, we always wish we could just spend one night in that all-American house, so ordinary in its design and yet so extraordinary because of its special memories. And now it looks like that dream can finally come true.

The town in the film was based on Hammond, Indiana, where author Jean Shepherd grew up. But the 1983 movie was set and filmed mostly in Cleveland, Ohio, because it more accurately resembled an Indiana suburb in the 1940s, and because the local department store, Higbee's, allowed them to film there. In a cute coincidence, the house that Shepherd grew up in back in Indiana was actually located on Cleveland St., which seems like a good omen.

The house is located at 3159 W. 11th St., in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland and it's been operating public tours ever since it was restored to its movie glory back in 2006 (there's a museum with memorabilia from the film directly across the street as well). Now, for the first time ever, guests can actually sleep in the house, which can accommodate a family of six.
