The 76th anniversary Golden Globes take place this weekend, and here's a cocktail to celebrate.
The Moët Belle, created by Camilla Belle, is a riff on a classic champagne cocktail, made with the Brazilian spirit cachaca, mango juice, ginger syrup, and lime juice.
It's anchored by Moët & Chandon, which in 2019 celebrates 29 years as the official champagne of the Golden Globes. The champagne maker will serve 1,500 Moët Impérial minis on the red carpet; 125 cases of Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2008 and Moët Impérial Rosé Magnums on the tables during the awards ceremony; and 500 Moët cocktails at the bars.
Whether you choose the cocktail for your viewing party or keep it simple and stick to champagne, having a supply of libations like these on hand is guaranteed to earn you points with even the pickiest of party guests.
1 oz of Cachaca
0.75 oz of mango juice
0.5 oz of ginger syrup
0.25 oz of fresh lime juice
2.5 oz of Moët Brut Impérial
Shake the first four ingredients together with ice. Strain into a couple and top with Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut. Garnish with an edible tropical flower or decoration.
