If you're a huge fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas or you just love to put a fun, Disney spin on Halloween, you're probably going to freak out over these decorations from Spirit Halloween. Now, you can turn your yard into Halloween Town with a life-size (and almost creepily life-like) animatronic Jack Skellington figure that moves and talks.
This animatronic Jack figure—which is 6 feet tall, by the way—has a moving mouth, arm, and hands, and can talk. Yes, he'll talk to people who approach him, with a selection of quotes from the movie, like "Hm…Hm…There's got to be a logical way to explain this Christmas thing…" and, "Interesting reaction. But what does that mean?!"
Oh, and Jack's not the only realistic Nightmare Before Christmas figure you can buy—his girlfriend, Sally, is also available, in all her stitched-up glory, to form a perfect pair. The Sally figure stands at 5'8" and holds a sprig of deadly nightshade. Her eyes blink and her hands move, but unlike Jack, she doesn't have multiple phrases to cycle through—instead, she sings her song from the movie. (♫ I sense there's something in the wind...) Which is equal parts enchanting and eerie.
Both animatronic figures are sound- and motion-activated, and need to be plugged in to function in your yard, so the Jack Skellington figure has a 10-foot cord, and Sally comes with a 5-foot one. They're also not totally weatherproof, so you'll need to place them in a covered area. But all that aside, they're a pretty cool way to show off your favorite Halloween-slash-Christmas movie, and they're likely to impress trick-or-treaters, too.
The only thing missing? Jack's adorable ghost dog, Zero. The good news is, even though there's no barking, animatronic version of him available, there is a pretty cute figure that you can hang alongside Jack and Sally. The measures just under 3 feet high, so it'll fit right in with this duo.
Zero Prop, $19.99, Spirit Halloween
Now, whatever you do, just don't go stealing Christmas, okay?
