There's no denying the Property Brothers are the ultimate renovation dream team (and not to mention dreamy). But, sadly, Jonathan and Drew Scott can't make over every person's home that's ever watched their popular HGTV show. Which is why they're sharing their wisdom in a new book, .
But don't worry: The book isn't just for people looking to overhaul their home. It also investigates money issues, like the hidden costs of moving, savvy negotiating tactics, and when to make big home purchases to save major moolah. Because, as it turns out, one time does not fit all when it comes to pricey things like televisions, refrigerators, and furniture.
Some of their advice was pretty obvious in retrospect: Waiting until it's sweltering outside is a surefire way to get stuck paying premium prices for an air conditioner. You should actually purchase yours when it's still freezing outside in January or after the season is nearly over in August. But other items were less obvious, like if you're in the market for a home theater (we wish) you should snatch it up in February.
You can check out the complete calendar on — just prepare yourself to immediately want to buy a pool come next December.
